A Match Made In Heaven
Marie and Joseph joyfully invite you to join them as they celebrate their marriage surrounded by family and friends.
It’s Halloween, so feel free to add a spooky touch to your outfit if you like — just know the bride and groom won’t be in costume! We love children but due to space and logistics, we are only able to welcome kids from our close family and inner circle. There won’t be a babysitting service on-site, so thank you for your understanding. We want everyone to relax and enjoy the evening.
The Bride
A short snippet about the bride.
Marie. Ljouba. Ljoub. Marie Mimi, depending on how long you’ve known her (and how many drinks you’ve had). She’s a head of content by day, an ex-music and fashion journalist by passion, and a spreadsheet sorceress by wedding necessity. Yes, she used about six different Excel trackers. No, she didn’t cry once (a personal best).
She once did a past-life regression session, and apparently, she used to work in a medieval tavern. So getting married in one? Let’s call it meant to be.Halloween has always been her favourite time of the year — she’s thrown more parties than she can count. This one? The ultimate.
And if you feel like getting her a drink… make it a Camden Hells.
The Groom
A short snippet about the groom.
Everyone calls him Joe. She calls him Joseph — and she's the only one allowed to.He's the kind of person who'll crack a dad joke before he's even a dad. ("I'm tired." "Hi Tired, I'm Joe." Every single time. Zero shame.)
He drinks good beer, cooks like a chef, and somehow listens to both Tupac and Paolo Nutini without a trace of irony, a musical versatility that worked out rather well, considering he's marrying a former music journalist.
He’s not exactly into Halloween, but he does love the way she brings it to life every year. The decorations. The energy. The ridiculous build-up. The mandatory Harry Potter marathon. So getting married on 31 October? Makes sense. Meant to be. He said yes to the date, and to the seating plan, and the centrepieces, and the fonts, and the seventeen different Pinterest boards.
He also shares with the bride an enduring fondness for squirrels. Spotting them. Photographing them. Narrating their lives in public parks. So if you can’t find him at some point during the evening, he’s probably outside feeding a squirrel with one hand and holding a pint in the other. With the bride, of course. Exactly where he belongs.
